DSN has many entry-level opportunities for direct support professionals in a variety for service settings. Direct support professionals have the opportunity work with adults, adolescents, and children with disabilities or mental health needs. Our Staff Development department will assist you in finding the best fit for your skills, talents, and interests. Applicants wishing to further their education in special education, psychology, human services, public administration, business, and a number of other areas of study are encouraged to apply. DSN will work with you to help make your work experience compliment your area of study. You will gain valuable experiences and work history to support your career goals as well as a paycheck.
As a DSN direct support staff you will have opportunities to:
Assist with conducting assessments.
Assist with writing and implementing individual training plans.
Attend school meetings to support the student.
Assist with community access.
Participate in multi-disciplinary team processes.
Use your skills as an advocate for persons with disabilities.
Work with and learn from some of Nebraska’s most successful professionals.
DSN strives to find schedules that fit for employee and the needs of those we support. Scheduling is flexible as services are provided around the clock. We have current openings on a variety of shifts with start and end times that vary by location including:
Week Days: 7-9a.m. until 3-5 p.m.
Week Evenings: 2-4 p.m. until 9 to 12 p.m.
Weekend Days: 7-9a.m. until 3-5 p.m.
Weekend Evenings: 2-4 p.m. until 9 to 12 p.m.
Overnights: 9-11 p.m. until 7-9 a.m. the following day.
Extended Shifts:
Many DSN employees work combinations of day, evening, and overnight shifts allowing them the schedule they need for family, school, recreation, or other outside employment.
